- Responsibility: Handles counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats (15% of total seats) in government colleges, central universities, deemed universities, Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) colleges, and Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC).
- Process: Conducted online, typically in multiple rounds, including mop-up rounds for vacant seats.
- Eligibility: Open to candidates across India, except for seats reserved under state quota or domicile rules.
- State Counselling Authorities:
- Responsibility: Manage the counselling for State Quota (85%) seats in government and private medical and dental colleges within their respective states.
- Process: Includes separate registration, merit lists, and rounds of counselling based on domicile and category criteria.
- Eligibility: Candidates must meet domicile requirements and fulfill state-specific guidelines.
Both processes involve registration, choice filling, document verification, and seat allotment. Candidates must follow the respective schedules and guidelines published by MCC and state authorities.
