Registration Process
Candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses in Tamil Nadu need to complete the counselling registration process. Follow the steps below for successful registration..
Counselling Registration
Step 1: Access the Online Application
- Visit either of the official websites:

Step 2: Fill Out the Application Form
- Dependently complete all the required fields of the online application form.
- Be sure the information contained is up to date and nothing important was left out.
- All the selected candidates should scan the documents mentioned above and upload them in PDF format before applying.
Step 3: Upload Required Documents
While completing the form, upload the following documents:
- NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and NEET UG 2025 Marks Sheet (front side & Back side).
- Mark sheets of classes 10, 11, and 12 – both the front and reverse sides.
- Transfer Certificate after completing the H.S.C or equivalent examination.
- Tamil Nadu candidates should produce records of class 6 to class 12 study completed.
- Community Certificate if any.
Nativity Certificate.
- Native claim documents of parents if any with them.
- Special Category Form with relevant certificates (if applicable),.
- Bonafide Certificate for 7.5% Special Reservation (if any).
- Fees Exemption – Parent’s income Certificate (where applicable).
- Agreement in and Transfer Certificate from other universities/boards, where necessary.
Court orders (if any).
- All other documents may be required depending on the information that the DME may require to complete the file.
Step 4: Submit and Confirm
- When that is done, click the download button to download a copy of the application form for further use.
- Re-read all input information before sending it out for Scrupulous verification on double check
Step 5: Pay the Registration Fee
- It can be paid online through a debit/credit card, net banking or using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI).
- Of course, the basic method of payment in which the fees are deducted from your account does not always ensure the successful payment.
Step 6: Review and Finalize
- Pay a lot of attention to each detail before filling the application.
- Once your submission is complete you won’t be able to edit or make changes to the submitted document.
- Fill only one application form.
Step 7: Confirmation
- It should be noted that the registration fee cannot be refunded.
- As per the schedule, the application submission and the fee payment will be closed. There will be no allowed extension.
Counselling Process
Follow these steps to complete the Tamil Nadu NEET UG counselling process.
First Round:
- Offline for Special Categories: Special categories will have an offline seat allotment.
- Online for General Category: The general category will have an online seat allotment.
Fees:
- Processing Fee: Rs. 500/- (non-refundable) for Government quota; Rs. 1000/- (non-refundable) for Management quota.
- Security Deposit: Rs. 30,000/- (Refundable) for Government Colleges; Rs. 1,00,000/- (Refundable) for Management Quota.
Note: Candidates must pay the processing fee and security deposit via the online bank payment portal.
Important Notes:
- Candidates opting out of any Medical/Dental college(s) in the first phase will not be allowed to reclaim those colleges in subsequent phases.
- If a candidate takes a seat but does not join or discontinues within the stipulated time, they may attend subsequent phases of online counseling but will forfeit the fees paid.
- Provisionally selected candidates must undergo original certificate verification before downloading the provisional allotment order and paying the tuition fee.
Second Round:
- Re-allotment: No fresh registration is allowed. Candidates who wish to retain their college from the first round do not need to participate.
- Fees: Processing Fee Rs. 500/- (Government quota) or Rs. 1000/- (Management quota). Security Deposit remains the same as the first round.
- Re-allotment: Available based on rank and vacancies from the first round.
Note: Candidates who have not joined or resigned after the second round will forfeit the processing fee/security deposit and tuition fee.
Mop-Up Round:
- Eligibility: Candidates who are not holding any seats in MBBS/BDS under All India Quota or State Quota.
- Fees: Same as the previous rounds.
- Important Notes: If a candidate is allotted a seat in the State Mop-Up Round, any previous seat in Management/Minority/NRI quotas will be automatically canceled.
Stray Round:
- Eligibility: Open for candidates who do not hold any seats in MBBS/BDS courses. Candidates holding All India and State Quota seats are not eligible.
- Fees: Same as the previous rounds.
- Important Notes: Failure to join in the specified date and time at the respective college will be considered as discontinued, and the candidate will need to pay the penalty.
